Joseph & Lilian Mwila are founding leaders of Dayspring Church in Kitwe, Zambia and Joseph is part of our International Apostolic Team and provides oversight to over 40 churches in Zambia and neighbouring countries.
Dayspring - is a large vibrant church that serves as a base for church planting and leadership development. They have pioneered the Zambian School of Leadership and the Zambia 2050 initiative, empowering young entrepreneurs.
Joseph holds a PHD in Chemistry from University of Manchester (UK) and has held senior roles in Quality Assurance.
Streetlife Zambia - Lilian (often called Lilly or Mayo-Mayo - mother of many) is the founder of Streetlife, a social action ministry started in 2003 after she encountered two starving children in the street. The project has grown into a huge support network for orphans and vulnerable children. They run two residential homes “House of Joy” and “House of Hope” for children who would otherwise live on the streets. They also serve almost 2,000 meals every month in compounds like Luangwa and Kapoto.
Dayspring Academy - a school based on the church compound providing high-quality Christian education which through sponsorship helps hundreds of children pay for school fees, uniform and supplies.
The work which Joseph & Lillian do is a prime example of our ChristCentral DNA, they balance deep biblical training with a practical compassionate response to the ‘threat multipliers’ of poverty and HIV/AIDS epidemic in Southern Africa.
